Well as you’ve heard, Google did infact purchase Jaiku! Honestly, I did not see this one coming! I just saw Jaiku as being.. well, Jaiku! But there you have it Google now own another company!
So what will come from this?
Hopefully it will be free to update Jaiku!
But if that does happen I see it happening in the US first. Ireland will be next to last! I’d love to see Jaiku eventually port up with Google Talk too, make the bot more stable. On the more obvious of sides Twitter will never be as stable as Jaiku now! Who see’s Yahoo picking up Twitter?
Overall this should be a fun one to watch! Keep your eyes peeled!

I finally got around to giving my Jaiku a bit of a personal touch! I just decided to go with the Domain name along the side, like Ken’s, and a background of dark green, because I think it looks cool! Of course some people, think it looks like a box of Twenty Major!
More importantly, will you add a personal touch to your Jaiku? Or have you already?

So today I went ahead and signed up for Jaiku, firstly I have to say I was suprised, I was expecting Twitter, but just more stable. But no, there is channels, the ability to comment on people’s status’s.. Importation of RSS feeds. Its overall just amazing. Now if that didn’t get me what did was the fact that I made a suggestion that Jaiku should have the ability so that when you post to Jaiku it posts the status to Twitter, as that would be like the whole Yahoo - MSN thing and get them more users overall just allow the simple interaction that would make everyone else’s life so much better, literally seconds after making the status, I got a comment on it of an admin saying that they were listening. Now even for them to respond I think is amazing, since when has Twitter ever addressed the downtime and overall unhappiness of its users on the new features its bringing in. Its new feature Twitter Blocks is actually a joke! The last thing I’d like to see Jaiku do which would port me over fully, aswell as many other users I’m sure is the ability to add an RSS feed that you get updates about, not your friends. I’m sure I could make another account if I wanted to do that, but the ability to do that would be amazing. Anyway, if any of you are on Jaiku I’d love to hear from you! Find me here
