An interesting one via Google Blogoscoped is Gmail Version 2! Apparently there is a backend Javascript rewrite, making Gmail faster than ever! The new version also hopes to improve contact management. Here are some screenshots, as we all love inside views!

Reading Email, nothing seems to have changed here!

New contacts management system. Reminds me of Outlook!

Another picture of the new contacts management system, you have to admit, it is looking good!

Adding a picture to a contact now has the option of adding a picture straight from Picassa. Google integration at its finest!

Lastly, the more actions menu seems to have a new option, “Filter Messages like these”.

Overall version two is looking good, glad to see its still in Beta though! Google can only improve on it!
