By now you should have seen that video, and been wow at the amazing features of it! But now the GIMP has this feature, does photoshop? Not yet, but with it in the GIMP I can see it coming into the next version!

It aims at resizing pictures non uniformly while preserving their features, i.e. avoiding distortion of the important parts.
It supports manual feature selection, and can also be used to remove portions of the picture in a consistent way.

Now it isn’t that easy to use yet, but workable, personally I’m just glad its in the GIMP as it shows promise of being in Photoshop CS4.
