While working at Absolute I did alot of testing with spam filters, all free, didn’t want to blow money on something that might not be great! Six months of testing, Six different free poducts and none were as good as Gmail. Thats right, use Gmail as a spam filter for your domain, now I know what your saying is that why not just use Gmail on your domain? Well for existing setups it isn’t exactly great. Usually on my email I would get around 200 - 500 spam messages a day. Guess how many Gmail caught, every single one. No joke! Now the only downside to this is that sometimes it can take up to 20mins for an email to come through. However all and all its worth it. So if you want a Free spam filter, sign up to gmail and add your email! ;)

I swear by the Google-Apps-for-your-domain service. I use it for my own work stuff, extended family accounts and for every client I can convince to use it. Spam filtering, capacity, auto-saving of drafts and all the rest make it very compelling.

Yeah its honestly the best email service! Must get Google Apps for your domain myself! Just porting it through Gmail at the moment!

I did that for a while to get the mobile access on my phone, but in the end jumped. Also use Calendar and Docs service.

Another great thing about gmail is the forwarding; when I moved to domains, I was able to forward the mail from the temporary account to it and not miss a beat. Have tried to do this with other major webmail services and had a lot less luck.
