Firefox
Mozilla is hoping to make web applications work offline in its upcoming product, Firefox 3. Google are working with them to achieve this and Firefox will be the first web browser to have offline web-application support, how soon until other browsers follow! ;)
Email provider Zimbra’s webmail is going to be a supported offline web application, when emails are typed offline they will be saved to the ‘drafts’ folder and just like Outlook once you go online they will be sent, weither or not Gmail will have this functionality is unknown, but I for one am hoping it does! Other features in the upcoming Firefox 3 release include improvements on memory performance, reducing Firefox’s strain on the system.
A release date for Firefox 3 has not yet been confirmed however it is said to launch around the end of this year.
