Google have today released their “Shared Storage” program. For the moment Gmail and Picassa are the only Google products that are a part of this however soon Google Docs & Spreadsheets and other products will be. Perhaps Google Video & Youtube? Basically the idea of the whole thing is if you need anymore storage for any of your Google Applications you can purchase it via the Google Store. The prices are pretty reasonable:

6 GB ($20.00 per year)
25GB ($75.00 per year)
100GB ($250.00 per year)
250GB ($500 per year)

However you would expect more from Google, this does raise alot of questions about Gmails increasing storage. Will it continue to increase or is it going to stop at 3 GB? More importantly, are they going to include Blogger in this? If so will Blogger become a more flexible platform? I’d also be intrested to see if they include Google Page Creator in this, and then upgrade Google Page Creator, offering you hosting.. The ideas really are amazing and endless!
