Install ‘Xine’ in Ubuntu

The Xine movie player is probably the handiest of all in Ubuntu, rather than downloading the extra codec’s for Movie Player you can download this marvelous piece of software and have everything run from it perfectly. Better than VLC media player even, which I find is abit buggy sometimes! Anyway, the reason ‘Xine’ gets its own post is due to the fact that is not available via the normal Software Repos. However is simple to install, just open a terminal and type in:

sudo aptitude install xine-ui libxine-extracodecs

Presto! Your done its installed! Find it under Sound/Video in your menu!
