Some old clients contacted me about doing some development so, just as I was about to pull out the credit card to reactivate my Basecamp account, I decided to do a quick search to see if there was anything new and found this thread regarding OnStage.
I registered for my free OnStage account and like what I see so far. It's not quite as robust as Basecamp but I'm going with it and saving $49.95/month.I used Basecamp for nearly two years but canceled the account in January 2008, since taking on a new job. What I disagree with is the choice of criteria for comparison. All right, Onstage could be good in letting you to change the company's logo. Ok, you can have your very own project forum. But is project management all about logos and chat? I don't think so. You need reports and Gantt charts to control the process and track results. I've tried Onstage and I used Basecamp, but the tool that really helps my business is Wrike http://www.wrike.com/.Well, I do agree that Basecamp is not the best project management software.
